Job requirements

As our Sales Lead, you will play a vital role in converting prospective learners, contributing significantly to our goal of reaching one million learners by 2030. You will lead our sales team, focusing on optimizing pipeline conversion, streamlining sales processes, and fostering collaboration across departments. This position offers a unique opportunity to elevate our admissions function and drive our organization's growth and success.


What you will do:

Drive Sales Performance:

  • Take ownership of the sales team and processes, ensure the adoption and consistent execution of a sales process to meet or exceed annual sales targets.

  • Optimize lead generation, conversion rates, and pipeline value to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Functionally lead the sales team, focusing on improving sales expertise, managing capacity, and setting up processes to increase sales efficiency and enablement.

  • Mentor, motivate, and manage the team to overachieve, providing guidance, coaching, and ongoing training as necessary.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Forecast sales performance, manage the pipeline, negotiate and close deals with potential customers.

  • Analyze sales data, identify opportunities for optimization and improvement in sales processes & strategies, and drive a culture of high performance and accountability within the sales team.

  • Implement innovative sales strategies and activities to drive growth and optimize conversion rates across the pipeline.

Data-driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

  • Constantly improve sales turnaround times and offer rates to facilitate and improve recruitment opportunities.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and other teams to drive alignment and achieve shared goals.

  • Understand the performance marketing to ensure the sales department has the correct number and quality of leads and prospects in the pipeline at all times.


Desired Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in sales.

  • Proficiency and highly trained in Hubspot or similar sales CRM.

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience (+ 2 direct reports).

  • Strong analytical skills, strategic planning competence, and process orientation

  • Proven track record of success in achieving revenue targets and building and managing high-performing sales teams.

  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in OKRs management

  • Experience in start-up or scale-up environments

  • Understanding of the Higher Education industry and regulatory bodies would be advantageous
